Winning projects in MQ2020 idea competition presented in Internet exhibition

What might the cultural function of the largest open air hall in the city look like in the future? What landmarks will define the interior courtyards of the MQ in Vienna in 2020? More than 70 participants in the MQ2020 idea competition explored questions like these and many more in depth. And they arrived a number of highly interesting visions for the future of the public spaces in the MQ. Starting today, the winning projects will be presented to the public as part of an Internet exhibition.

“We’re very proud of the fact that the development of the MQ complex generates so much interest and inspires such creative and visionary ideas,” says Dr. Wolfgang Waldner, Director of the MQ, visibly pleased about the active participation. “It was certainly no easy task for the jury to select four winners from the many good ideas submitted. So we owe special thanks to all of the jury members and all of the participants – even though we are only able to choose four projects as winner award today.”
